đź“… Building routines and structure
đź’¬ Social and communication skills
🎯 Encouraging independence and problem-solving
The goal is not perfection.

Even small achievements — like independently shopping for groceries or preparing a simple meal — can build huge confidence over time.
Why participants connect with CECP:
Our workers focus on encouragement, patience, and celebrating progress in a positive and supportive environmentÂ
Confidence is built one step at a time.
At CECP, life skills support focuses on helping participants feel more capable, independent, and confident in everyday situations without pressure or unrealistic expectations.
For some participants, life skills may mean learning to budget or cook independently for the first time. For others, it may mean building confidence using public transport or managing routines.
What participants gain:
- Greater independence
- More confidence in everyday situations
- Improved routine and structureÂ
- A stronger sense of achievementÂ
- Better preparation for independent living
A real-life example:
Amina (from Auburn) once relied heavily on others to do most of her chores but she gradually build confidence learning simple shopping skills, budgeting, and everyday responsibilities.
What participants often say:
“I never thought I’d feel confident shopping independently again, but CECP helped me build that confidence step by step.”(Amina -Auburn)
“The workers encourage me instead of making me feel like I’m a failure when I get things wrong ” (Chun- Lidcombe)
Why CECP feels different:
“We really celebrate the small wins. Our support workers focus on encouragement, patience, and progress in a calm and supportive environment.” Jacoub-(CECP service co-ordinator)
