Specialist Disability Accommodation
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) 🏡
NDIS Registration Group: 0131 – Specialist Disability Accommodation
CECP has partnered with SDA-compliant housing investors and accommodation providers to help eligible NDIS participants access safe, accessible, and supportive living environments tailored to their individual needs and goals.
We know that for many participants and families, navigating housing and support services can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process feel more personal and less stressful by helping participants transition into suitable accommodation while also providing the everyday support needed to feel settled in their new home.
Some participants may require a quieter and more stable environment, while others may benefit from shared living, high physical support features, or culturally respectful surroundings. CECP works closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and SDA housing partners to help create living arrangements that genuinely suit the person — not just the funding category.
SDA support may include:
♿ Accessible living environments
🛡️ Safer daily living support
💬 Coordination with care teams
🏡 Stable and supportive accommodation
🌱 Encouraging independence and wellbeing
🏡 Assistance transitioning into SDA accommodation
💙 Supported Independent Living (SIL) services
🚿 Personal care and daily living assistance
Why stable housing matters:
Feeling secure in the home environment can improve:
- Emotional wellbeing
- Confidence and independence
- Stability and routine
- Overall quality of life
A real-life example:
For some participants, moving into suitable SDA accommodation can be life-changing. Something as simple as accessible bathrooms, safer mobility access, supportive staff, and a calm home environment can help create a stronger sense of stability and belonging.
